Looking to barter for landscape projects
by Rachel- 0 replies
- 1.7k views
Our yard has five sago palms that are between 3 and 6 feet tall, the largest being three trunks at the base. Here is a link to some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/3pKTu We are trying to get rid of them in exchange for 1. the cost of removing them 2. other landscaping (if possible) As of right now we don't know where to begin, I've heard of businesses doing this but through all my googling I can't find anyone in my area (south east of Los Angeles). Any pointers would be appreciated!

Hello, I have a few extra Sabal Sp., mostly S. mauritiiformis and S. bermudana, but a few others as well. Plus, I wanted to post some pictures. S. bermudana S. mauritiiformis A side by side Here's a few pics from the mother plant. it is he shorter one - I couldn't get into the crown of the larger one, as the leaves were packed too dense! The photos below were taken over several years. I have a few of these suspected Causarium X Palmetto seedlings from an odd looking sabal. Kyle Wicomb graciously sent me these seeds, and I germinated them in 4/2014. They were collected at UF Gainsvill…

A. cunninghamiana for trade
by Ben in Norcal- 1 reply
- 1.7k views
I've got about a million A. cunninghamiana seedlings that I have been growing the last year or two - I have many more than I can handle/grow to size. Mix of "Illawarra," and regular cunninghamiana. Many of the regular cunninghamiana are offspring from Jim Denz's trees here in the Bay Area. I'd be interested in trading for seedlings of different species, or seeds. Heck, I will trade for nursery pots! Let me know what you have and hopefully we can work something out. Thanks, Ben

I germinated some Black Sphinx dates just for fun, and now have more seedings than I could ever do anything with. Anyone interested in trading some of these for other seedlings? PM with any interest. Also, please note I consider these for ornamental enjoyment only - if you are looking for top quality fruit trees, you are probably best served looking elsewhere. Thanks! Ben

I had a very high success rate with germinating seeds of Pritchardia schattaueri and Sabal mauritiiformis last summer. Because of this, I now have more seedlings of both than I need. I am looking for a Beccariophoenix madagascariensis (the no-windows species), so I would like to trade some seedlings for one. I have up to 8 of both species available for trade, so let me know if you would like either, and how many. I'll be generous with these, as I got both seeds for free from the generosity of other Palmtalk members, so if you want all 8 of both then I'm fine with that. I would like a B. madagascariensis that has character leaves if possible (I've had trouble with them bef…
