I have been using this on my palm and seedlings. He have ph of 8.7. I lower the ph to 5.8 with citric acid, and use this for the extra liquid minerals. I have plants growing that no one else can grow here.

    The foliar iron, followed by chelated iron soil hits, seemed to work well for Alfredii.  I also basically stopped watering the Alfredii altogether.  Now it has greened up a lot.  New leaves are coming in dark.

    Carlsmithii didn’t respond as much, but there is some response to similar treatment.  Harder to tell since it’s so slow.  It is now starting to open a new 11-12ft leaf, so we‘’ll see how it looks in a few more days.

    Unfortunately, one of my Chambeyronia/K. Oliviformis is starting too, after having a rough, dry, summer.  Perhaps this one went in too deep.  It’s leaflets are too thick to pick up iron topically, it seems.  Pray for this one… it’s beat up in the heat and drought.  Iron, potassium, and magnesium all seem to be lacking, despite supplementation…..

    The two others, 6 feet away, take a beating from all day sun, but look OK.

    @Looking Glass "Drunken Poseidon" - one of the funniest things I've read here.  And something I've been guilty of myself. Although, I call it my poor man's version of making it rain.

    “Don’t just do something…. Stand there.”  is probably advice I need to follow more often.  
    Unfortunately, I get impatient sometimes.  Then I end up chasing my tail.   

    I think it’s a matter of figuring out what our different palms want.  Some are super happy to be flooded and overfed, others, not so much apparently.
