Big Chrysalidocarpus Mystery - 1 time seed offering
by Hilo Jason- 1 follower

- 2.9k views
This big mystery Chrysalidocarpus in my Hilo garden has set seed and I am offering it for sale just this one time! Reason being is I am selling this house and closing escrow this Friday, so this will be the only time I can offer this seed for sale. I am thankful the seed was ripe in time to pick it, and am happy about the idea of this palm getting out into more gardens. This palm has been posted a lot here on palmtalk and it’s always a favorite when people visit the garden. It has been an extremely fast grower, going from a 4” pot to what you see below in under 7 years. If I had to describe it, I would say it’s like a Chrysalidocarpus Ambositrae on steroids …

Hello everyone, I’ve received several requests for an updated list, so I’ve put together the latest inventory. Several of the Brazilian imports that sold out previously are now restocked, based on the most common requests. This will likely be my last shipment until the new year, with hopes to resume afterward, as the new shipping rules are making imports increasingly difficult. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Best, Philippe 🌴 September 2025 Inventory Palms Chrysalidocarpus lastelliana — $8/10, $14/25, $23/50, $35/100 Copernicia prunifera — $7/10, $12/25, $19/50, $29/100 Rhapis exce…

Black Willow Cuttings
by JohnAndSancho- 2 replies
I don't even know what a fair price is for these. I've got big thick hardwood cuttings that have been water rooting and I moved most of them into 1g bags tonight. Most of them have cool bends and curves and Y shapes to them, there's a couple logs for the boring folks. Most of them have either barely or haven't started rooting, so I can pull them out of the dirt and bags to save on shipping. I have a literal unlimited supply of these, so buy 1000 of them. Just don't plant them near anything important. 2 for 25 for the big ones plus the ride, 5 for 20 for the little unbagged ones? You want a specific size let me know. I'm starting this nursery so I can sell qua…

In a couple of weeks I'll be sending out the last batch of cycads for the year. Please contact me if you are interested before I shut it down for the winter. These are in 5x5x12 liners and some of them are busting out. All are 2+ inches of caudex. There are really nice pure trispinosus, arenarious, lehmanni kirkwood and many robust hybrids such as longifolius x princeps and horridus x arenarious just to name a couple. I have pure horridus as well, slightly smaller for the same price. These are $100 each and if you buy two or more I'll include the shipping (bare root and leaves trimmed) within the U.S. Message me for details. Gabriel

SEEDS AVAILABLE from VARIEGATED SABAL PALMETTO - Harvested October 2025
by FishEyeAquaculture- 2 followers

These seeds are from a wild specimen near Weeki Wachee Springs. Me and my boys were fortunate enough to stumble across this palm during a hike back in 2018 and have harvested seed each year since. They're not as into it now as they were when they were little (I get it, extracurricular HS activities can have that effect), so I've decided to part with most of this years seed harvest. The variegated yields vary each season, but never dissapointing. Between palmtalk, word of mouth, social media, and ebay, hundreds of variegated offspring from this tree have been shipped out each year. FULL SUN IS A MUST and paitence is a big key too, some specimens show variegation as …

This large Dypsis prestoniana has been in this semi-curcular "pot" for about 5 years and needs more dirt. I have very little room left. it is about 10 feet tall but would be relatively easy to move. I am in Oceanside near the 5 freeway but this palm can take even more heat and sun than I have. $500 OBO

My Carpentaria acuminata has gifted me with a bounteous crop of seeds - it is now so tall we can't access the inflorescenses to limit fecundity. Read more about this species here http://www.palmpedia.net/wiki/Carpentaria_acuminata Many Australian palm lovers curse this native palm but this species grows like a rocket here in zone 10 SWFL. It is beautiful and trouble free if given warmth, water and fertilizer. If you are new to germinating palms this is an ideal species to try, esp. if you are the impatient type. LIVE Windmill Palm For Sale - 15-20 Foot
by Chi_Palm- 12 replies
Hello all, I just stumbled across this forum recently. I am from the Chicago area and have been growing palms outdoors here since 2009. I currently have a 15-20 foot Windmill palm (Trachycarpus fortunei). Over the past 16 years of growing this palm, I have boxed it up each winter...A 2x2 frame and wafer board walls, with foam panels for insulation and small heater fans set on low inside. Unfortunately, this palm has now grown too tall to box up and protect during the winter. Thus, I have made the hard decision to sell this palm. I am open to any and all offers, as I would love to this palm to go to a good home and continue on with its life, instead of having it …
