Members of the Northern California Palm Society, as well as anyone else interested, are invited to participate in monthly, year round clean-up work meetings at the Lakeside Palmetum on the second Saturday of each month (unless otherwise posted). For those not familiar with the Lakeside Palmetum, it is located at 666 Bellevue Ave, Oakland CA within the Gardens at Lake Merritt https://gardensatlakemerritt.org/gardens-map/ Parking is free along Bellevue Avenue if you tell the parking attendant at the entrance that you are volunteering in the gardens. I just want to put the word out to Bay Area Palm enthusiasts that a small group is meeting on Sunday, May 16th to do some general garden clean up work in the Oakland Palmetum. You can PM me for more detailed info, or just show up at the Palmetum, located in the Lake Merritt gardens anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. All help is greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Next Tuesday night we are having a special dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Palm and Cycad Society of Australia (PACSOA). Should be a great night, the menu looks very interesting at the Summit restaurant on top of Mt Cootha. What's even better about this night is that we will still hold a raffle, you beauty. I look forward to seeing a good crowd, no special speaker coming so that means I can yap on even more than usual.
