The leaves on my King Palm fronds seem to stick together at the ends and are attached to something that looks like a small piece of wood. I’m sure it has a name :-)

They do seem to unstick eventually but those leaves that are stuck appear a little more brown than the others. Should I manually unstick them?

Looks like they had a little damage when the spear was emerging. I wouldn't worry about it. They should separate eventually.

They will naturally separate in wind, as it grows, etc. really young palms sometimes have transitional strap leaves/mature leaves resulting in some leaflets being fused. You don’t want to try and manually separate them, bc some can be damaged. Generally it’s best to leave along but I’ll admit I occasionally help along my sheltered palms not exposed to wind by running my fingers between leaflets to help separation if it appears the whole leaf is matured and not with fused leaflets.
