I've been looking for plants for a few years, it's nowhere to be found...

Floribunda in Hawaii has both Lytocaryum hoehnei and Lytocaryum weddellianum available.   It's also where I got my insigne seedlings.

The inflorescence is much too short to produce any seeds: »prophyll 34–37 × 1–3 cm; peduncular bract 69–71 cm long« (Noblick 2017: 116)

@Alberto Have your L insigne already flowered? :interesting:

I have 9 L. insigne and 5 of them are flowering and fruiting.  Two came from Vargem Alta ( Espírito Santo state) and all the others I bought as little seedlings from a nursery in Rio de Janeiro. Most of this seedlings didn' t show the very dark tomentum from the beginning ( a few showed it) and also 3 were slow growers. Twice I germinated some seeds.

I kept the second palm tree (N°1408) because it was also completely different from the other eight that I had given away.
