@Pal MeirBut how else can I show you the leaves of this palm tree lyto insigne? They are visible from above. What do you want more? I do not understand you.

Are the backsides of the leaves silvery?

For comparison my one year old seedling N°1401 and his roots; you should repot your seedling (with doesn’t look bad at least on the photo) in a small pot filled with very fast draining mineral soil and water it regularly.

Hello, THAT palm is not a matter of THIS thread. You should discuss it on another thread. Btw it does NOT look healthy, the pot is too large and the soil too soggy.

About L insigne here, but about L weddellianum elsewhere.

This slender type of L insigne looks most similar to L weddellianum, but it had the longest strap leaves of all my 10 L insigne, today six years since germination:

Hi Pal, that's amazing that you get your insigne to flower.  Are you also planning on pollinating the inflorescence?

Maybe we could arrange a pollen handover. My large wedd is at about the same stage of pushing out an inflo. If I collect pollen from the wedd and send it to you and you send your collected insigne pollen to me, we could both end up with some very special hybrids.

I had ten L insigne, eight of which I gave away a few years ago. I want to keep the remaining two (N°1401 & 1408) for myself.
