This is one of four Trachycarpus princeps in my yard. It is biggest one that I have with about 18" of clear trunk. I suspect it is within a year of flowering based on when fortunei flowered for me. The planting stakes are six feet tall and are shading a Dypsis mahajanga. I know the Dypsis addicts are not into Trachycarpus but this one is special. Petioles are longer than others in the genus and it has a more relaxed look. I don't know how many larger princeps are out there.

I imported ten seedlings from oversees about 8 years ago. That was back when it was hard to find. Now common and available on Ebay. Cannot wait to see them overhead with the white leaf underside. The relaxed form makes them very attractive.
