We here at the John and Sancho East Mississippi Palm Conservatorium were recently gifted some relatively rare (at least around here) Trachies and we'd like to save them.

There are 2 Princeps and 3 Waggie x Princeps hybrids - one of the hybrids looks great, one looks good, and the others - well, they kinda need some help and I'm not an expert.

I gave all of these the "good" soil, very well draining. Everything gets watered once a week, I mist everything before I go to bed. It's warm in here, probably high 70s. Anyway - pics.

And - the strugglers. The 2 in the misspelled Homeys bottles are the Princeps, and I gave the Y'all bottle to the other hybrid. IMG_20250722_180925.thumb.jpg.571dc4d5b23de5c2b66cd0a94b3aef24.jpgIMG_20250722_180948.thumb.jpg.b90871533da83387cae795dc010b6659.jpg

Transplant shock? Culture shock? Anyway it doesn't matter. Do these want more light? More water? They came from Nate in Kansas City - do I have to stop tweeting about how weird Patrick Mahomes giant helmet looks? Play some Taylor Swift? Denounce Memphis as the greatest BBQ city in America?

Light, water, time.  I don't think there's much to do other than that. When they start to get their legs back under them, maybe some gentle organic fertilizer after you see new growth

My thoughts(it looks like they are inside), is to put them outside in shade or under covering(patio).

I bet they would like the (indirect) sunlight, diurnal temp swings, etc., and it may stimulate growth.

And like what @N8ALLRIGHT says above, time,  and patience, fish emulsion.

I'm kinda scared to stick them outside as hot as it's been lately tbh. The one hybrid in particular looks kinda crispy already. i can always try to rig up a cat proof box and throw some other stuff in there - stagger it so the other stuff gets more sun than these. But it's hot here and we haven't even hit August yet.

Since they are inside, what kind of light are they getting?

Should be plenty. There's a high end GE grow bulb about 3 feet above them and there's also a really nice tube grow light maybe 2 feet away. It's not full sun or anything, but they're also close to east facing windows - but it's definitely not dark for them. I've been growing palms indoors for a while now.
