here is my x montgomeryana from mike evans. It really doesn't look like it has the same leaf texture as a queen, more schitzophylla like perhaps. Its in a 15 gallon here about 5' overall, just before I planted it last week. the green color is arresting, a very striking color. this palm was in the ground in dec 2010 as a recently planted 3 gallon seedling, and was just fried by frost, all the way to the ground. I though it dead, roughly dug it out and threw it into a pot and gave it a daconil/peroxide treatment. A month later it was pushing new growth to my amazement.

Well, here you go - fresh from the camera today. The P. salomonense haven't grown as fast as the Veitchia joannis, but that was the plan. (Lee - we obtained these from Garrett) gmp
