Matt... it may be disheartening at times with the challenges of growing rare palms in So Cal but in the end there is something special about the palms that grow in your part of the world.Not sure if it is the climate or the soil or both but from the photos i have seen on Palm Talk plants seem to be more robust than the same species grown elsewhere...just my opinion of course...never give up Craig.Oh yeah i tried the hydrogen peroxide on a B.tomentosa seedling which had something going on in the emerging spear..seems to have worked as the spear is still emerging with healthy tissue.

  3. It's always good to recycle and grow a Dypsis baronii. Ravenea moorei Dypsis lanceolata Hedyscepe canterburyana in full sun...or mostly full sun.
