  1. There is a regulary contributing croton forum member at Palmpedia.net named Sergey. Amazingly, Sergey cultivates and hybridizes his plants in a basement in Russia. We bitch and moan about our growing conditions. This man has some major obstacles to overcome. The following are photos that Sergey posted, this is incredible ...   4. Many of Sergey's crotons are varieties developed in Thailand. These are touchy and difficult to make to survive in South Florida. Most of his crotons are growing in 10 oz. containers. He gets them to bloom, cross pollinates, collects seeds and propogate new and interesting seedlings. This is amazing in my opinion. . .

  5. Todays croton's ancestors came from Amboina of the Molluca Islands of Indonesia. Plants of the rain forest, they appreciate high humidity and warmth. What Sergey has achieved is remarkable. Here are some more photos he has posted ... .. .
