  1. Dear Friends Today lets see the Bizie's planting on the ground visual illustrations.. And the pit for this palm too was specially made with loose sandy soil..here is a link for those who wish to see the soil replacement work for these special palms.. http://palmtalk.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboar...t=ST;f=1;t=4793 I must say that this palm is also close to 2 years of age group raised from the seeds imported from _ http://palmtalk.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboar...t=ST;f=1;t=4793 And now lets see the stills of it when it was growing in our roof top garden !

  2. Dear Kumar I feed our palms here with Di-amonium phosphate in liquified form in our winters & also coconut palm fertilizer made specifically for 25 years plus aged coconut palm trees.Since these are all are chemical based use it only in trace quantities.i.e one regular spoon of fertz for 20 to 25 liters of water. And once the plams accept this then you can do this every 20 to 30 days. And the white markings you see on those plastic pots are from camalin crayan pencils avaliable in all the local stationary book shops etc... Love, kris Thanks Kris - at present I use a mix of clay and sun dried cowdung - it gives superb results - that too only before the mango fruiting season. But I will give this a try next month.

  13. And i must say that november and december months are our rainy season ccommences and followed by gentle winters.. so to play safe and prevent root rot of any kind, the bottom layer where the bizie lady rest was filled and leveled using course river sand.then we placed this fan plam on it and once again the sides and its top surface was also filled with that new sandy soil... And this location receives sunlinght only from noon 12:30 P.M to 2:30 P.M evey day since our house cast shadows on this planted area ! so i contemplate that this palm will grow very slowely from now on.. as i have told my garden lack free space and iam doing my best to squeeze few palm in this already dense garden..
