Some skillful pruning (albeit lacking pineapples) required to keep these this close together...

I sooo agree with you Peachy. No matter how you slice em... ( I prefer a Chain saw ) CIDP are very ugly palms to me. Jeff Such Paalmsnobery, I love a well groomed CIDP.

Update: It's been about 7-8 weeks since I added ammonium sulfate and sulfur to the soil. It took about a month before the chlorosis resolved. Now the color is dark green on all new growth and the plants are growing faster than ever! Thanks for everyones help in resolving this matter

A CIDP hedge ? That'll keep everybody out, even the owners It does look great though, "PPP" (powerful palm planting), place that in the arty palmy category as well. Kris will never get off his swoonaroona lounge after this thread.

Peachy, Coccothrinax have a well-deserved reputation for being slow but I think you'd get better/faster growth if you put them in the ground. They don't make good potted palms unless you want to intentionally "bonsai" one. They also want plenty of heat and sun. This is one of my favorite genera and I have at least a dozen species in the front yard. I need to make a photo essay of them to post, maybe when most of the cold damage has grown out. Tough but elegant little palms.

Alberto, get some surf wax and melt it then poor the liquid in the hole until full. If the palm is still alive you will see the wax plug slowly emerge over time untill the new leaves push. It works, trust me

I would not. Just because a "medicine" is good, that doesn't mean more is better. Don't forget, copper is a potent plant killer in higher concentrations. It is used as an algaecide in swimming pools all the time. It kills algae (a plant) very effectively.
