Howdyall: If you're anywhere in the vicinity, of San Diego California on March 26, 2011 come to the Palm Society of Southern California meeting, located at the following address: 11123 Valley Lights Drive El Cajon, CA 92020 This will be a marvelous garden, in the ground by a dedicated palmateer for more than 20 years. He uses Dypsis for canopy, or so I've heard! No charge, come one come all. You don't have to be a member, though we admit we hope you become one. But, no obligation. There will be a potluck, and shmoozing up the wazoo about palms, palm-related matters, etc. I'll be there (I'm a member of the PSSC Board) but don't let that scare you. …

Palm Society of Southern California The PSSC’s March 2014 Meeting The March 2014 PSSC meeting was held at two gardens in Orange County. One was that of Ralph Velez, one of the founding members of the Palm Society of Southern California and the other was at Palm Island located at Mile Square Park. Ralph’s was the first stop of the day. If you're a long-time PSSC member, this garden really needs no introduction. But, in case you're not, we’ll give you one anyway. Ralph started his garden back about 1962, which makes it over 50 years old. Talk about maturity, Wow! Ralph’s garden is a treasure trove of rare and exotic palms, many of which were the first of their kinds i…

How many cyber friendships from "Palm Talk" and other web communities have emerged from two dimensional status to three dimensional friendships? How many posters regularly visit eachother's homes and over time, have developed strong face-to-face friendships? Just Curious? Also if you all do "get together" do the conversations mostly concentrate on palms or do your "live" frienships usually go beyond the initial focus subject that brought you together?

I have been instructed by UGL of England that we are all supposed to make the Craft less "secret" . Oh well I have been a member for many years and I loved the ceremonials and those fantastic dinners. Thats where I learned my public speaking. Us guys are NOT in a Great Conspiracy for World Domination. Mores the pity! We raise millions for heart and cancer charities and are bringing up and educating orphans. If there is a great conspiracy please let me know! (its usually Masons, Jews, Communists, and Gays who are responsible apparently) - sure we have Jewish and Gay Guys on the forum -some of top members - tho I doubt if we have any Commies here! Next Tuesday night we are having a special dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Palm and Cycad Society of Australia (PACSOA). Should be a great night, the menu looks very interesting at the Summit restaurant on top of Mt Cootha. What's even better about this night is that we will still hold a raffle, you beauty. I look forward to seeing a good crowd, no special speaker coming so that means I can yap on even more than usual.
