The Northern California Palm Society will be meeting on August 29th at the garden of Keith and Caroline Jaeger in San Rafael. They have been working on their garden for the past dozen or so years with plantings being added up to the present. The garden is essentially frost-free, so there is an extensive collection from New Caledonia - Burretiokentia, Cyphophoenix, Kentiopsis, and Chambeyronia. Others include less cold tolerant species such as Syagrus, Chamaedorea, Ravenea, Ceroxylon (unfortunately not trunking yet) and Dypsis.
