A friend of mine told me this beautiful clump of Rhapis excelsa is going to be removed by her HOA if someone else does not remove it first. I have seen it. I am planning on taking my shovel, a Sawzall, pruner, and some burlap sacks a week from Saturday and see what dent I can put in this thing to take back to the I.E. If anyone else has any interest in the rest of it and can remove it by hand the same day I'm there, I think they will appreciate it. Message me privately for South Orange County, CA location. I am offering for FREE a division of this choice Rhapis, I believe that my large plant came originally from the late Dick Douglas. Dick went through a Rhapis phase, and had numerous, named clones. It was divided from our large, houseplant about one year ago, and has fully recovered from the separation. No shipping, you must come to my garden for this plant. It has 3 large canes, and 3 smaller, new ones. Be aware that the palm is about 7 feet tall, so you need a vehicle that can accommodate this tall palm placed horizontally in your vehicle. Chatham Island is the more robust sapida that grows faster and takes more sun. Darold was nice enough to send me a bunch of these last year and as Summer is fast approaching I'm thinking I wanna get them out of the greenhouse and into the nice cool shade. When I was a beginner, (a long time ago) senior palm people were most generous, with both their time and plants. Now it is my turn to 'play it forward.' This palm is the seed offspring of my large adult, it is perfectly grown in a Stuewe TP812 pot, it is six years old from seed, and needs to be ground planted. I would hope that this palm goes to a coastal garden rather than a hot, inland site like Walnut Creek or Concord. No shipping, you must come to my garden for this palm.

Howydall: I'm engaging in a renovation of Shangri-La Habra, which includes the removal of concrete walks, etc. The inevitable byproduct is lots of chunks of concrete. I could leave them for the garbage people, who in turn will dump them in a landfill, and the land will get too full. If you have a use for this let me know.
