I have some extra seeds from a cocoa pod. These are very tropical plants and the seeds or beans are the foundation of chocolate. They seem to be easy to germinate as I was soaking them and some started to pop in the water. PM me if you are interested. John

Yep, you read that correctly. I learned a long time ago that if you want something gone quick, give it away for free. To be fair, I am not 100% sure they're C. x textilis, but I was advised that the tree I collected them from is....so that's what I'm goin' with! I have a total of thirty, 3gal, specimens, grown from seed I collected in late 2018 from a Copernicia at Kopsick Palm Arboretum in St. Pete, FL (street view link below, down sidewalk/left of light post), pictures of said palm are also included in this post. https://www.google.com/maps/@27.7830651,-82.6263141,3a,75y,128.2h,83.87t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1slIJIaMAIaaaPMj7x8E9g2w!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo3.ggpht.com%2Fcb…

Hi all, I have 5 plumeria seedlings that I have to give away due to lack of conditions at my place. Sown in January 2015 , they have up to 50cm of trunk. In case there will be anyone interested, I would ask you to cover shipping. Due to that, offer is rather limited to European growers. Veitchia arecina seeds
by aztropic- 0 replies

The Montgomery palm. Don't be too concerned by it's tropical origin. I have a previous batch I started 4 years ago, and they have been growing outside, unprotected,in every type of weather the Arizona desert could throw at them. This species, along with Veitchia winin, are definitely contenders for a spot in an Arizona garden. Local pickup aztropic Mesa, Arizona

Brachychiton rupestris?
by Patrick- 1 reply
Anyone interested in a Brachychiton rupestris or two? Ive grown two of these up for several years and I just don't have room for a specimen tree such as these. They're currently in 15 gallon cans and about 10 feet tall overall including the cans. They've been in the 15 gallon cans for probably 3 or 4 years. This would have to be a local pickup only in CA bay area zip code 94561. I'll post up pictures once I get home today (I'm at work now). I first fell in love with these when I saw one at The Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek. A company in Richmond had these for sale so I bought a couple. They are tolerant trees, I have never treated these special other than occasiona…

Free: Date Palm Tree Needs a New Home
by djb529- 0 replies
We have an established Date Palm tree that we inherited when we purchase our home. Unfortunately, the prior owner's placement didn't take into consideration decades of growth and we are needing to remove it. Rather than have it cut down, we are hoping someone might be able to repurpose. It's a beautiful tree, but just needs a better home. Free for the taking. Must dig out on your own. Please see attached photos. The tree is easily accessible via our front yard. We are located in Sacramento, CA. Thank you, Daniel Baker …

Rhopalostylis sapida "Chatham Island'
by Darold Petty- 4 replies

When I was a beginner, (a long time ago) senior palm people were most generous, with both their time and plants. Now it is my turn to 'play it forward.' This palm is the seed offspring of my large adult, it is perfectly grown in a Stuewe TP812 pot, it is six years old from seed, and needs to be ground planted. I would hope that this palm goes to a coastal garden rather than a hot, inland site like Walnut Creek or Concord. No shipping, you must come to my garden for this palm.
