One of my big tree interests is Floss Silks and the numerous species that make up the group: Ceiba: speciosa, crispiflora, chodatii, insignis, rubriflora, schottii, pubiflora, jasminodora, and others. I have approx 60 grafted trees in the ground here of unique flowers that I’ve found exploring around. With those, I’ve made numerous hand-pollinated crosses to try and obtain new unique flowers. I don’t have the room to grow enough of each cross out to see all the combinations, so this past summer I distributed approx 1,000 tagged seedlings throughout the area for people to grow in their yards. This has been in my raised planter for a year from a 5gal. The under sides of the leaves are silver. The trunk is a little weird and it hasn't rooted solid yet so it wobbles a little but is growing well. I am replacing it with my new Pritchardia. Your free to come over and take it! Howdyall: One of the Arenga engleri in my bustling hedgerow of same was not happy, so I removed it. It appears that it just didn't keep up with the herd relative to the water competition from the other Arengas near it, and was starting to decline. It's now sitting in a big huge bucket of water waiting for someone to come and get it, take it home, and love it, or at least cuss it with grace. Mango season has started in full swing and occasionally I buy some of these outrageously priced Alphonso mangos - of which a great deal of hype is made each year. These (the mangos and the hype) are mostly exported but in case you have heard about this variety but don't have or can't get any seed, let me know. I have dried a half-dozen seeds and can give these away. As always, not recommended for fruit production. Just in case however, the fruit is yellow and almost fibre-free and the tree is much smaller than our Bengal varieties - tends to branch a lot more too.

So I have one more stalk of seed (maybe 1000 seed) I will be happy to send out. This is not an easy plant to germinate as it does best when sown right away when ripe. This seed is 4 months old but with 1000 you should get something.

I have a bunch of Cordia sebestena (Orange Geiger) seeds that just ripened off the tree. They are the uncleaned fruits. Because of their size, shipping overseas will require a small box and will be in the $15 range and will need to be reimbursed. Shipping within US is free. Gathered Feb 2016. Send a PM if interested. I have a few in the ground in far western Loxahatchee. They have not been here for a true freeze yet, but have come through multiple nights in the 36-38ºF (2-3ºC) range the past few years with no problems. Frost has burnt the leaves when it's occurred, but no harm to the tree or branches themselves.

Here is a picture of some very large Livistona nitidas in 15g pots rooted in the ground. The ones in front only have a few roots in the ground and easily removed. The very large, braced one is rooted in the ground and would require some digging and strong guys to move it. As you can see most of the leaves were cut to reduce weight but it is still a monster. Hey everyone. I am trying to get rid of a few palms as we go into winter. My wife says that they aren't coming back into the living room. I have a 3 year old coconut palm in a 25 gallon pot. Unfortunately the soil in the pot is lava sand so it is heavy! I also have 5 or 6 Adonidia merrillii in 3 gallon pots with normal potting soil. I also have many random small exotic palms in 1 gallon pots. Dypsis pembana, Dypsis lutescens, possibly a few others. These are neglected little palms but still hanging in there. Everything is free.
