A rare Coconut compact Green Dwarf with Sweet husk
by Dr Roland Bourdeix- 2 replies
- 2.3k views
Do you Know this kind of coconut variety? Here is one of the most extraordinary varieties of coconut tree! A Compact Green Dwarf of Kaipoa type, that the envelope of the young fruits is edible, tender and sweet. For the moment, a single specimen has been found in French Polynesia, on the Tuamotus archipelago, on the Katiu atoll… In most coconuts, the husk (fruit envelope) is hard and inedible. But sometimes the husk of the young fruit is sweet and can be chewed like sugar cane. Its taste resembles that of the heart of coconut palm…. I would like to know if somebody meets this variety in another country? See hd pictures here: https://coconutmuseum.blogspot.com/2022/02…

- 2.3k views
Hi there. New member. I am looking for Cycad seeds of all Appendix II species (also Appendix I, if you are willing to get the CITES export permits, as you can see I live in a 'colourful' area of the world). Almost all species of interest in all groups except common things like C.Revoluta, Z.Fisherii, Z.Furfuracea. Only the 'rarer' stuff please. As an extra note, my employer is also always looking for 'near full sized'/trunked Encephalartos, Cycas & Zamia so if you have XL grade nursery plants of anything special, do also let me know. If you have something please let me know. Cheers, R

I want to buy or trade for some Aloe "hercules" seeds. Shipping for plants is fairly expansive (i live in Croatia) and i would probably need to pay extra for phyto certificate so i think seeds will do best. If you have really small cuttings i will be interested too. Best regards

Hawaiian strain coconuts in California
