Anyone is allowed to list sought after items (start topics) in this forum. Inquiries will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.

Please remember that only IPS Members can offer palms and plants for sale. And please do not suggest a vendor unless you are certain they are an IPS Member.

The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.

    Hi all, does anyone know a source of seeds from Chamaedorea carchensis or aka Chamaedorea benzeni. These appear to have been quite popular in California and so I was wondering if some of you might get seeds from this you would share or sell. Looks like it could do well in a large container and give a nice look. Do people have any temp data on this also, how cold has it taken and damage etc. thanks in advance.

    I am looking for a dracaena drago with some trunk and vertical height to it. Does not have to be a tree, a foot or so of trunk would be ideal.     hi i am ric . i am a sculptor and a gardener. i am looking for vegetable ivory of any specie. fresh to grow would be great but old for carving would be fine as well.i would greatly appreciate any information such as germinating and growing tips, books to reference. sources for seed, and varieties that i havent heard of other than these-phytelephas, metroxylon,hyphaene.even large hard seeds that are not like ivory but still could be carved. i need to know what i should expect to pay for them too. i bought some over 10 years ago from constantines wood supply.i am soaking one of them .they couldnt possibly be viable still could they after all these years . i am in zone 5 so …
