Edison Estate Part I

Great shots of an over the top property by one of the most ingenious to ever live.He and his next door neighbor(Henry Ford)were both incredible palm and tropical plant hounds and they both enjoyed plentiful evening cocktails.Alot of stories about Edison crawling back on wounded knee from Ford's place.Edison was also known to do some weird meditation on that dock in shot 36,while he pretended to fish.Things simply have not been the same without Thomas Edison!

Great photos! One of my former legal guardians used to live a few blocks from that estate. I went there for Thanksgiving but never got around the posting photos. It was too dark and we just did the free section since it was getting late. He definitely had a good taste in plants.

I'm always up for learning new things!

What?  Dave!  No pics of the famous Royals lining McGregor Blvd?  That is my favorite drive through Ft Myers.  I thought for sure those would have you swooning!    :)

Seriously though, nice shots of the Edison Estate.  That Banyan tree is amazing.

I think I'll do a thread dedicated to the Royals I saw all over the place in Florida.

Overdone!

WONDERFUL!
