After about 20 years, I finally harvested seeds off one of my big Needle Palms. A pair of reading glasses and the speed of a sloth avoided injury.

Would some days in the freezer help them?

You could do an experiment, seeing as you have an unlimited supply of seeds. Put some in the freezer and some in whatever method you would use for germination of palm seeds. This way you can set the record straight for the palm community having done a home science experiment. Nothing to lose and everything to gain!
