Hi, should I cover the root by soil now or when I repot it? I'm a beginner in growing palm seeds, so I'm asking for advice :)

    At that stage,I would remove it from the community pot and put it into its own separate container, with the root buried, and just the seed above ground.

    I would leave it until the first spike appears, for now just cover with a little medium. And dont overpot your seedlings, use small containers, or long deep not wide if the root is long.
