I created a man made island in a creek that's probably in a zone 10a microclimate, What palm could go there?

How about that plus a Beccariophoenix? The growth rates will compliment each other

Actually seeing a picture of this island, I would be highly concerned about it being washed away with persistent heavy rains during the summer. Water is powerful, and if something doesn't get in there that can quickly establish a strong root system before that flooding happens, it'll be game over. Even if you do plant a small palm in there, chances are it wont be able to establish a strong enough root system in enough time, and the palm could get washed away with the island.

It wouldn't hurt to try, and I would love to be wrong. I think it would look quite nice having a nice palm there, but it seems a little far fetched in my mind. At the same time, I also wouldn't want to dump a bunch of money into something that's a little more rare with the chances of this all being washed away eventually being quite high, I would stick to something cheap and common. Keep the rarer stuff for your own yard.
