Washingtonia filifera health issue

Recommended Posts

Posted

I got two Washingtonia filifera in the mail this spring from Amazon. They got delayed in the mail and one died and one barely survived. It was down to about one leaf but came back. Now the last several weeks the leaves have started turning yellow. It started with the oldest leaf and has just started onto the third of five leaves. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? A nutrient deficiency or a disease?

It may be too wet for the cooler temperatures

Were they bare root?  I’ve had nearly 0 success bringing filiferas back from bare root shipments.
