Why is this one curling?

I sprouted these from maybe the freshest seed I've ever seen, 4 germinated and these are the 2 that didn't die (shut up @happypalms 😂) - but why is this one coiling up? Same light same water same temps same soil same size container literally same everything inches apart from each other.

John , I can’t say but I’ve seen it in other strap leaf seedlings in my garden( Phoenix , Syagrus) . I haven’t seen any real explanation as to why , at least when they are outside in my garden . My Livistona that are in the ground were a bit older than that when I got them . Harry

    I can't answer "why?", but the likelihood of it being unique in maturity is exceptionally low. This all reminds me of my seed growing days 20 or more years ago.

    Coolsies. We'll just sit back and watch. I wish my germination rate was better but que sera sera or whatever. Thanks y'all. 

    Maybe it knows the fetal position is the best way to go out after succumbing to the torture of the cultivation of Sanchos green paws death camp and is getting in early preparation for the inevitable doom to come 🤣

    Curly root syndrome. Bismarcks are known to get that because the root hits the bottom of the pot and begins to curl causing the leaf to curl. Probably needs a longer pot

    Do they root down that far that fast? I've got it in a large McDonald's cup, I've never kept these alive this long so I honestly don't know. 

    Not an issue, I started one in a not super deep pot and it developed normally. Just natural variance I think.
