I'm starting to hate palm trees.

These both looked great the other day, aside from some sunburn on the older fronds on the Licualas. The other cup is some of my seed grown Sabal Bermudana. The only thing that's changed that I can think of is the temperatures dropping at night now. Both of these are supposed to be cold hardy, and it's not like it's 20°f in here or anything. I mean, the window is open but it's only been getting down into the high 50s.... Frustrating 😑IMG_20251021_092756.thumb.jpg.d356fd7a8646e753d4618d48a6f735ad.jpg

Take heart! We've all had losses, but life goes on.

At it again I see John, you just gotta kill em. What have we spoken about before. I find there are some plants i cannot grow so I don’t persist in growing them I just give up on trying to grow them.

I dunno how old the Licualas were but I've had them for 2 years, and the rest of the Sabals look great. I've planted some and even sold half a dozen on here and nobody has sent me any mean messages.

Sorry @JohnAndSancho - You've had the same experience as many of us.  Your palms join a cult behind your back and make good on their suicide pact.  Keep the Kool-Aid under lock and key and they'll make it next time.

You think maybe they're jealous that I'm paying so much attention to bananas lately? I mean, they got 4 brand new shop lights, they're all getting 5 gallon pots to start with, I bought a couple (and was gifted 5 and got a coupon for one) and can't tell you the last time I bought a palm (oh, it was August), my last few YouTubes have all been about bananas or papayas, etc etc.
