Rehab refugee, Waggie x Princeps. I dunno why I'm asking, I know what y'all are gonna tell me, but I'm asking anyway.

Let it keep rehabbing in the Palm Condo™ or stick it in the hole in the yard I've already dug? It's sibling is already out there, and I lost the other 3 that travelled here with it.

I think it was a little sunburned and dehydrated. It's gonna get some sun and some wind when the cold fronts start rolling in.

I'd baby it until next March.

Personally, I'd wait until it was a healthy 5 gallon size.

Don't plant any more palms until next spring after nights go above freezing. I'm feeling a little insecure about our winter prospects in SWFL. After a blistering summer we have already had a couple early "cool" fronts that have given use below normal temps (no killing frost) and vibes of the cool dry season almost a month early. Also, looks like a La Niña is forming. Sounds like a joke but I'm not laughing.

Cape Coral (It's Just Paradise)

I'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade.

I guess it's a good thing I just invested in a giant heat mat and more grow lamps then. We're still having highs in the mid-high 80s but we're getting lows in the high 60s now, and it seems like seasons are a thing of the past. It just goes from really hot to really cold with no in-between. And no predictions are reliable anymore, either. It's like we have growing season and panic season.

I dunno if I've got the patience to wait that long. I mean, it seems like the consensus is I shouldn't plant it tomorrow but I don't wanna wait 3 years either.

It appears you have your mind made up, which is what you should do. My reply was as stated, "Personally, I'd wait..." Best of luck.

Nononono I didn't mean it like that at all. Y'all are right about waiting, especially with this being a rehab project and having said that, you might have a point. It's not like it's all green and happy.
