Dodgers over Phillies 4-3 in a nail biter.. Snell pitched very good and Sasaki gets another save, with a little help from Freeman.. Great plays by Rojas with a diving force out at third and a bunt catch and throw from Muncy to Mookie.. Will Smith is clutch…

I don't know if I should root for Javy Baez, root for Kyle Schwarber, or root for Jed Hoyer to get launched into the sun at this point. Just as long as the Brewers don't win it all. I think I'm gonna go with option C.

I haven't puckered like that since I was watching a very late television broadcast on a Wednesday night in Cleveland.

Now 2 more and hope Horton is ready for the next round.

Well Cubs won and the Dodgers looked bad... And lost... Felt bad for Kershaw, put in a bad situation...

Yeah, some Brewers fans on Twitter found me. Funny they all got quiet but now that it's an elimination game my anxiety is even worse 😂 it's crazy how it's mentally easier to deal with a sweep than a game 5 loss would be.

Kershaw is definitely a legend and it's hard to watch athletes age and decline. At least we're not having any boring series this year so there's that.

Congrats on the Cub’s win John.. Just one more and our teams will be facing each other… Good luck… For now.😉…… I don’t know if you watched the Dodgers/ Phillies game last night , but it was pretty tense.. Dodgers won with a walkoff broken bat dribbler to the mound, that the pitcher bobbled then threw away… Wild ending… Butch

I watched football instead. Much less stressful to watch 2 teams I don't care about. And no buffering or endless pop up ads like the bootleg pirate streams for sports that I definitely do not use as I am a law abiding citizen.

At least I have the Saints to watch. Oh. Yeah. Welp surely the Cubs will bring in a superstar free agent like they always do. Oh wait. Well I don't understand hockey, so there's that. Lol time to focus on the grow room I guess.

Perhaps in retrospect, this wasn't the ideal way to celebrate the series win. This pic is getting absolutely blasted all over social media and I imagine it'll be shared millions of times over the next few years. 20251014_042941.thumb.jpg.b3dcf36f62f3fdb5e8f4e2997fa24fcf.jpg

Also the Wrigley L flag is blue with white lettering but, you know... I wouldn't expect everyone to know that

If you saw last nights Dodgers/Brewers game, you saw a good one... Great pitching by Snell, a HR by Freeman, a wild double play from center field and the Dodgers almost letting get away in the bottom of the 9th... Dodgers 2-1 over Brewers..

Another great pitching performance... This time by Yamamoto... A complete game, 3 hitter... This one a little easier on my nerves.. Dodgers 5-1 over the Brewers..

Beating the Cubs was Milwaukee's World Series and the L flag on the field will be a curse that haunts them for years. The ghosts of Ryno and Sister Jean are having their revenge as we speak.

It was starting to remind me of the 2021 World Series where the Nationals lost all three of their home games and still won the series!  🤨

While I'd like to thank Shoehei and the Dodgers for humiliating Milwaukee, I think it's time for me to put my support behind Seattle.

Ohtani put on a pretty good show in case you missed the game... He pitched 6 innings with no runs, 2 hits, 3Base on ball and 10 strikeouts and batted 3 out of 3, with 3 home runs, 1 walk, 3 runs scored, and 3 RBIs... All of this to sweep the Brewers in 4 straight to win the NLCS... 5-1... John.. You can root for Seattle over Toronto, but You gotta stay with the NL and root for the Dodgers in the WS.😉  ...

I can't man. This Dodgers support was a one time thing based on pure pettiness. We're cool and all and maybe it's resentment of Cubs ownership being cheap, but the hundreds of millions in deferred salaries to skirt the luxury taxes really bugs me. If the Ricketts did it, I might feel differently, but they're far too concerned about buying as much property around the stadium as they can to pay for superstar players that take you on deep playoff runs. But now that the Brewers are reaping what they've sown, and seeing endless tweets and posts about how the Cubs actually won more playoff games this year than they did, I just can't.

John, I understand... I used to feel the same way about the Yankees.. But these owners that receive the luxury tax benefits, need to spend it on getting players, not lining their already bulging pockets... That's the whole idea behind the luxury tax...

The deferred payments are just putting off the inevitable... And the Dodgers aren't the 1st ones to use it....  Look at Bobby Bonilla Day. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/45590991/bobby-bonilla-day-2025-new-york-mets-pay-million-every-july-1  Pay now, or pay later... Some of these long term contracts are basically the same thing..  Any way good luck to Seattle today...

Lol Bobby Bonilla day should be a holiday. Like I said, a lot of it is probably resentment towards Cubs ownership more than anything. I mean, we traded future all stars to Houston for (after injuries) half a season of Kyle Tucker and Pressly who got DFA'd. They let Schwarber walk over $8m and gee gosh golly look at how that's turned out. If the Cubs were deferring salaries like this I'd love it and think it was brilliant, but the Dodgers are going to be in salary cap hell in the 2030s assuming the world doesn't end before then.

Much better out come this game... Yamamto pitched his 2nd consecutive complete play off game... 0-walks 4 hits and 1 run... Will Smith did his usual clutch thing with 3-RBIs and 1-HR.... Dodgers-5, Jays-1... Go Dodgers!..

Well....If you didn't see it, you missed a doozy.... What a game.... Freddie hits another walk off HR, but no grand slam this time, just one over center field fence in the bottom of the 18th... Ohtanai on base 9 times, with 2-HR, 2-dbl 5 BB (4-intentional) Just too many highlight moments to keep up with...Hitting, pitching, defense, base running, It had it all.... Man, as a Dodger fan, I'm wrung out from all of the tension... Oh, and Klein was just fantastic...

Never forget that Anthony Rizzo once struck out Freddie Freeman. And the ESPN game where Rizzo was mic'd up and caught him in the rundown was glorious.

I actually fell asleep in my chair and went to sleep thinking Toronto had won. Home field curse strikes again! Happy for y'all.

Meanwhile it's only 3 months before pitchers and catchers report to spring training so I can look forward to all of the free agent signings the Cubs don't make this year and all the top tier prospects they trade away for broken bullpen arms and rental players!
