Hello,

I planted this Queen Palm 6 weeks ago. It was dark green at the time. It has gone yellow in just the last 7 days. I fertilized it 2 weeks ago. It's in a well draining area and gets adequate moisture. Im in Zone A Florida.

Thanks

Looks like nutrient deficiency, I would add SulPoMag and wait for new growth. The yellow will not change color on existing growth but the new growth will show a darker green if that is the issue. There is a good chance of success but it takes a while before you will know for sure. I had King Palms at my old house that were yellow and it took the better part of a year to correct. You may check with a local nursery that deals in palms for certain , I am not familiar with soils in Florida. Harry

You mention it was planted 6 weeks ago and fertilized. I am assuming from a pot.

My concerns:

1-under watering. It is no longer in a contained pot and needs extra water until proper rooting takes place(up to 3 years).

2- sunburn.

3- over fertilized(my biggest concern since you say you fertilized it 2 weeks ago and a week later the yellowing started).  Maybe best to remove any fertilizer left(stakes, surface) if possible and water deeply.

If it were potted, it may have been shade grown. The leaves won't re-green, but new ones will be fine.
