If you got em plant em asap, dont let time go bye with palms get them in the ground as soon as you can at any stage of growth if you can and are willing to lose a few or win a few. Plant as many as possible you won’t regret it. This little batch are part of the big picture.

I just love the Dypsis Lanceolata . The shiny , dark color of the wide leaflets stands out amongst the others . I can’t wait to see it get larger. Keeping my fingers crossed  that it can survive winter , so far , so good!
  Another nice batch there. Harry

The green bamboo looking trunk is amazing, along with the leaf shape and colour is beautiful. I wish I planted more years ago, the only one I planted got shaded out as the garden grew. Time is of the essence with palm plantings get em in the ground.

Yes , mine is still young , no trunk but it took off once I planted it ! It’s heeling right now , you know growing a heel like it might clump. No rings yet but a very healthy palm. I got it from @DoomsDave and his stuff really works for me . We have almost identical climates! Harry

I have so many youngsters that should be in the ground but lack of canopy for them has held me up. Also the filthy heat this summer has been too much for me. I get sick after 10 minutes outdoors. Now it is too late in the season to plant the really sensitive species so I have a ton of repotting to do and wait until next year.

Peachy plant them. Fear not the cold if they lived in containers throughout winter before they should be fine in the ground. The humidity is like the tropical climate now in my area, with lots of rainfall and sunshine it’s fantastic for the garden. Iam lucky I have been sitting in the air conditioned tractor at work so dodging the heat, but I melt when I step out of the tractor. Iam planting the palms I have a lot of at the moment all my super tropical stuff did go in the ground mid spring. So I understand you not planting now.

From what I read @DoomsDavehas the goods in the palm department. They do look like a heel at first the one I planted yesterday looked the same but iam sure it’s a long way off trunking.
