I bought this plant a 8582DFB5-A514-4405-9E4D-583AFB36A675.thumb.jpeg.a8c1c9ee199d7f219d2617472778db73.jpegfew days ago and have run several identify checks from 2 apps and both of them told me that it is a robusta with one app giving me a probability of 67% but I am still not satisfied and have this doubt in my mind that this might be something else so here I am asking for your commments.

Robusta

What are the characteristics of the robusta which my plant has?

Absolutely pure robusta! Very red petiole bases prove that. Color on filifera bases is pure green, with hybrids somewhere in between. Here is a pure filifera to compare.

Okay so thanks to all those people and applications who helped me overcome my doubts regarding what my fan palm actually is. I have always been a big fan of Mexican fan palms ever since I saw them in the photos of LA and in some upscale areas of my hometown Karachi and bought one for myself for like 2500 Pakistani Rupees ( 9 USD) but I was extremely anxious since the last 3 days about what my plant actually is.
