Particularly silver Brahea aculeata. Planted this past spring in my backyard. Very solid growth rate for a Brahea, which makes me wonder if it’s 100% aculeata.

    Looking good! Love the new frond coloring next to the silver blue of the older ones. Maybe it is just getting everything it wants or needs. Harry

    From Palm Island in Vacaville CA a few years ago. Was there today, they didn’t have any. IMG_1081.jpeg

    It may change to green/greener as it gets older, at least this had happened to my onwn specimen. On the other hand it nay also have some genes from Brahea armata.

    Gorgeous palm! Those braheas grow very well in a warm mediterranean climate and also in the desert climate of phoenix AZ. They lose their wax and they life in Florida. I had (6) blue armatas in arizona, I still miss them. Hot sun brings out the wax(blue).

    Formerly in Gilbert AZ, zone 9a/9b. Now in Palmetto, Florida Zone 9b/10a??

    I found this brahea very easy to germinate unlike the others that sometimes take a year, this one germinated in a month, obviously the seeds were fresh
