I have been slowly writing a travel log here

However I somehow forgot to include photos of the fantastic hidden garden of Arlene and Andy Hurwitz!

Andy is the rising president of the IPS which in and of itself is a full time unpaid job. Yet he and his wife have created a hidden oasis.

Each level of their beautiful house showed a glimpse of the jungle that made me feel as if I were in Puerto Rico except Andy has many species I just can’t grow.

From Rhopaloblaste to Howea with Meryta balansae and a giant Ficus dammaropsis and so much more I was in awe.

Arlene adds accent and ground cover plants with spots of color and texture and I am told she is responsible for establishing the grass in the middle so that lucky guests can stroll and view everything while dining al fresco.

Cindy, as always - thanks for taking us along on one of your” palmcations.” I had no idea Andy had such a mature collection. The IPS is lucky to have him as our upcoming President.

You are very welcome Dean and I totally agree that the IPS is lucky to have him step up to take on the job of IPS President.

Andy checks in on Palmtalk more than I do now!

I like the palmcation description of my travels Dean!
