The spears have officially pulled out. Would we say she’s a goner at this point?

The exact same thing happened to me this year. I had a windmill that I planted last year. It mostly stagnated until July and then it pushed out 3-4 nice looking fronds. After that, in the span of 1-2 weeks all of them shriveled up (while still being green) and the spear pulled. I cut the trunk and it looks like a goner.

I have 2 more windmills that are in the ground, about the same size, and are doing great. I have no idea what caused this and I don't think I have moles. One thing that I noticed, but most content i can find online says it's fine, I've seen a lot of earwigs hanging out in the spear area. Not sure if those had anything to do with the spear pull, but I don't recall seeing any signs of chewing.
