Can anybody share any experience with any of these three species?

They grow great in Hawai`i.  I'm on the West/Dry side.  These three pretty much livin or the irrigation put in when planted over 20 years ago.  We get about 30 " a year rain w/very dry summers.

Syagrus coronata been in the ground about 25 years from 1 gallon.  Just built the tile terraces this past winter

Syagrus sancona planted about the same time.  It's along a dry stream bed that only flows after a inch or so of rain,  Sometimes I wonder if there is ground water way down and if it's put down deep roots.  It's way over 23 feet tall.Syagrussancona-20230826_140813.thumb.jpg.2e5c0e88659bf3299c4fa9159013f521.jpg

Syagrus schizophylla also about 20 years old.  Much slower growing.  This picture from 2009 and it's not much bigger today.  This gets more water as I've planted other things around it.

I can speak only of Syagrus schizophylla. It is very slow growing and spiny. I have two and both survived the fusarium wilt debacle of 2016/17. Mine are in mostly shade in the back yard jungle. Neither has ever flowered or set seeds in the ~14 years since I germinated them from 2 seeds I picked up from the concrete floor of an HD garden center. They don't get large compared to queens and other trunking Syagrus. Very handsome palms in an understated way.

Another from Hawaii. Planted 4 schizophyllas about 10 years ago. Still only about 5 feet tall in full sun, but that is their habit. Fairly wide, very healthy looking, have been producing fruit for several years.  See climatic conditions below.

165 inches (4,200 mm) of rain per year, 66 to 83 deg F (20 to 28 deg C) in summer, 62 to 80 deg F (16.7 to 26.7 Deg C) in winter.

I have a very young Syagrus sancona in the ground in Carmichael (near Sacramento) CA.  Only at the three leaf stage, but came through first winter with very minimal spotting on oldest leaves.  Should be a reliable zone 9B plant, but only time will tell.  It's a Syagrus,  so I'm hoping this means that it will be a relatively fast grower.

In Florida, all 3 are hardy into the mid 20's F.  Syagrus coronata is probably the second cold hardiest member of the genus. S. sancona is the fastest growing of the 3.

No one cares about your current yard temperature 🙃

Yup!  Here is a better view.  But I think the CR Beetle may have gotten in.  Gonna go spray the crown right now.JubaeopsisCaffra-20230910_140633.thumb.jpg.e8be22934718ef74b77f6a66ce74a702.jpg

In SoCal, Santa Ana. Sancona for me from a 15 gallon has been growing very quickly for me. Schizophylla from a one gallon, growing super slowly.
