As others have noted, this is such a beautiful palm when relatively young. This one ihas grown under a porch overhang, which gives it a very stretched, very elegant look. And the color, geez… About as good as it gets in the palm world.

@Christian_J wondering if you could lose it in the summer heat being that small...I would keep it inside.

Mine has responded well to the extra water I’ve been giving it during this growing season and is opening up a new leaf. I was at Mark’s a couple weeks ago and came home all inspired to take better care of my Bentinckia.

Mark's Bentinckia is the best one I've seen around. Can't wait for mine to get to that size and hopefully it looks that good.

Same. The thing is out of control beautiful. Zero defects. It's right at eve level too. I think we all wish we had one like it in our garden.

Baby forms...I've had trouble getting these seedlings to survive and grow, but I'm hopeful about my one survivor and my latest batch of sprouts....

@Frond-friend42 I recommend a more sandy draining soil and indirect sunlight that young sir.

Quick update on my Bentinckia Condapanna, He survived 100-90 degree temps for a few days, its cooling back to 80-85, came back with slight burns but he grew new and healthy fronds with a new spear incoming! I am growing him in Corona California.IMG_6714.thumb.jpeg.030ab9d52fd7e5b1abaecc5769826d0f.jpegIMG_6715.thumb.jpeg.1af39cc19b9b33c0fc015f58fbb9638b.jpegIMG_6716.thumb.jpeg.eabd25f7f0fbcf774549d7a7dc53b767.jpeg

Looking good! It will only look better from here on out. Every frond will be bigger and more pretty.
