Some rare and unusual palms in the collection the chelyocarpus is yet to survive a winter with protection but the dypsis and geonoma have survived two winters and are looking stronger each season time will tell if the chelyocarpus lives but I certainly will be placing it in the hothouse that’s for sure the geonoma has  an incredible new leaf colour and from memory I think the minuta was at least ten years of age what I should have been doing is every pal: that come into my collection I should have created a file it would be a lot easier that way

The Celyocarpus looks like a Licuala ...yes I know they come from Sth America, but they really do look like Liccies. I wish my Geonoma looked as good as yours. One of mine croaked in the recent humidity of death we suffered recently.

I came. I saw. I purchased

The chelyocarpus does look a bit like a small licuala but way more impressive once mature try keeping some of your water loving palms in a tray of water then remove them in wintertime otherwise they get cold feet plants are like us humans warm feet in winter

Richard, or should I call you Possum? Which Chelyocarpus are you growing? My C. chuco and C. ulei are doing well, the C. chuco is getting big.
