Amazing how many places COULD grow palms, but don't really.

When I used to live in Germany ( Paderborn) our local REWE always had quite a few Windmill palms and Washies for sale.  I've found the Windmill palms were alot cheaper priced than here in Texas for some reason 🤔.  While I was there I haven't encountered any palm that was planted in the ground but I know some people that actually grow some very cold hardy palms in the Rhineland area.

The ones I have seen where planted in pots but not in ground. Too cold ,too wet and too cloudy to successfully grow palms especially without winter protection .
