I’m sitting at 17.9C average maximum compared to the long term averages of 15.0C and 14.5C at the two closest BoM weather stations. 3 degrees extra every single day is ridiculous really (in Celsius for the imperial forums users). Must be close to record setting.

Yeah, that's nuts. And it's not just winter, our summer was well above average without having crazy hot days, just consistently warmer.

South Arm, Tasmania, Australia - 42° South

Mild oceanic climate, with coastal exposure.

Summer: 12°C (53°F) average min, to 21°C (70°F) average daily max. Up to 40°C (104°F max) rarely.

Winter: 6°C (43°F) average min, to 13°C (55°F) average daily max. Down to 0°C (32°F) occasionally, some light frost.

Pretty mild here over the next few days. Generally been a warm end to winter after a couple of frost days put a sting in the tail.

For the past couple of weeks the weather has been edging up, a bit more like September. And still very dry, last rainfall was April 3.

August average maximum: 35.6
August average minimum: 18.9
UV Index up to 12

Been very wet here! Not very warm either. Bring back late winter 😅

Rhopies (chathams and baueri) are all pushing out and opening new spears. Should get some photos up when the weather is nicer.

Overnight we had rain set in, mostly steady, sort of weak monsoonal. Very unusual for September. The rain is dropping the temperatures down to monsoonal levels, a couple of months early. However, it's unlikely to stay like this until the monsoon proper sets in.

Since it was predicted from a week ago I covered up equipment/gear that needed protection. Got 34.6 mm rain so worked out well. Some places got over 50 mm.

First 15 days of September
Average maximum  37.4
Average minimum  21.7
UV up to 13 to 14

One last (I hope) flick from the Antarctic. Avocado is in flower, most palms have just opened spears. Bananas have opened new leaves. Grapes just showing buds.

Low has been upgraded to 0c from -1C. Still quite breezy outside with some clouds, 6C at 10pm local. Just keep blowing, wind, as just a one night event.

Ditto. August was warmer than September so far by exactly 0.2C!

This month has been a shocker...21.5 on the 5th, but 9.9 on the 14th. Yesterday was 14.5C at 9.30 in the morning, then 9.5 at 1.30pm!!! Crazy.

Retribution from the universe for daring to plant out palms in August...

Same here. August was warmer and wetter than September. It’s just cool cloudy and dry this month. Not good.
