Shouldn't be any need for a heat mat.  These have been growing outdoors with daily temperature fluctuations, including seeing temps as low as 25f.  Lows over the last week have been in the upper 30s, low 40s.

I’m just curious as to how fast these go pinnate on average for you?  All 4 of mine have been pluggin along throwing new leaves but I get impatient 😬

Got this in late April and put it in a 3gal.  It has pushed 1 new leaf since then.

 

 

I got mine in March and they look just like this. I also put mine in a 3 gallon 

All potted up

Recieved mine back in march and its working on its 2nd leaf since I've had it, pretty quick!

Apologies for not replying sooner.  To be honest, I have not really payed attention to how many leaves push until it goes pinnate, and I'm sure there are always variables that can contribute to when this happens.

Have a ton of seeds on my two momma trees for future offerings...until then I'm marking this as SOLD OUT!  

MIne have put out around 4 fronds each. The fronds have progressively been getting thicker and shorter with all the Texas sun.  Two are pushing wide fronds with some small openings, so I expect within the next 3 or 4 fronds (maybe less) they'll be pinnate.
