Ashiarobinsonfloyd
I repotted my majesty palm about 2months ago because is was root bound to its pot I bought it in. But as I rotate it so that all parts get sun I notice it still kind of tips over, even in this pot that is big enough. Should I ajust the position of it in the pot and push it down further into the pot. Or is this normal ? SeanK
I cannot see in your profile where you live so I'll guess that it gets COLD in the wintertime. On a day > 32°, Take it outside and flood the pot with water. Shake it a little and let the water drain for an hour. Bring it indoors and place in a basin so it can continue draining. Check and see if the soil settled any. My thought is that the soil is too loose or there are actually air pockets.

PalmatierMeg
Stake it. Use plastic zip ties to do so. That potting medium looks mucky. What is it? It should be light, coarse and free-draining. Ashiarobinsonfloyd
It is cactus, palm citrus soil with peat moss.
PalmatierMeg
I gave up Miracle Gro soils after many plant deaths from root rot and sought out looser, coarser soil. I also ditched peat moss as an additive. Switched to coco coir. I also use perlite to lighten up the mix although some people prefer Turface, pumice, even coarse sand. The point is to avoid potting your palms in dense black sludge. I know majesties are water hogs but they don’t want their roots suffocated. They also have a reputation as terrible house plants. Some palms take well to indoor living but this is not one of them. Doesn’t stop garden centers from peddling them. 1 Meg Palms of Victory I shall wear Cape Coral (It's Just Paradise) Florida Zone 10A on the Isabelle Canal Elevation: 15 feetI'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade.
