A neglected Hyophorbe lagencaulis (bottle palm) at Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.
It’s amazing it’s still alive considering how neglected this palm has been.  I believe it was planted in 2021 or 2022.  IMG_0699.thumb.jpeg.fb08f2ba8609feb780e4c9522e2297d1.jpegIMG_0698.thumb.jpeg.78512e6d2f4b05b4fe7cc72c8f78a4b4.jpeg

I wonder if this is the one they moved last year. I was wondering if that palm survived , they are very root sensitive . I know they have more than one Bizmarkia down there . Harry

Been trying to determine if mine is P schefferi or P lauterbachii but these seeds confirm P schefferi do they not?

Beautiful cool temperate flowers, unfortunately i cannot grow a lot of the bulbs and corms, it’s just too warm for daffodils and tulips. So I have the opposite problem with it being to warm for me to grow certain plants, just like your cold weather stops you growing a lot of things!

The tropical look so desirable, deep green and fat broad leaves help create that look. I just planted them with that vision.
