Richard I had Bismarckia, but it died in January 2017 when we had the greatest frost ever recorded.

While walking the dog this morning we were getting a sprinkling of rain and I looked over yo see the rainbow and this Roystonia (i believe regia).  With about 12" rain per year on average,  we don't see rainbows often, nor are Roystonias very common.

Time to (very delicately) pluck these jokers out and put them in some of that 100 pound mass of coir and perlite I just mixed.

This one is gonna be a little different and I deserve applause. I went to the blue big box store and they've got a rack of bananas for $15. This one had multiple pups and I didn't buy it. Same with elephant ears. I used to look at plants for size and overall health, now I look for multiple plants. They also had a clearance majesty with 2 7 foot plants that looked great that I didn't buy. Please clap because I am literally running out of room unless I get a sugar mama.

The green macrocarpa next to it is about to put out a spathe, they both do it at the same time. They call it the blonde flamethrower for good reason.
