Split in Royal trunk - what’s this about?

Hi again!

My one Royal that’s doing well has been a rocket - put out about 2 feet of spear in the past 6 weeks. I just noticed today that what used to be more of a thin crack has split open. Anyone know what’s going on and if this is cause for concern?

Thanks!

It looks like the leaf base wants to fall off, it's normal since they are self-cleaning palms.
