Thanks for the post Cindy. Boy, you don’t hear about this palm everyday let alone see one. 

I only know it by name and looked it up after I saw your post. Another beautiful and unique Seychelles specimen. 

It certainly looks healthy and happy.

This is a great palm. The only one I know of on the big island is in a garden in north hilo

We have it here in subtropical Australia doing absolutely fine in temps down to 5C. I’ve 2 inground and 3 large head height plants are known locally. One fruits and now have many. All the info on Palmpedia about it being hard to grow appears unwarranted based on our experience. Appears need constant moisture in the shade in well drained soil. No real trick to it.
