I planted one of my S. uresanas the other day and it is starting to silver up in the sun.

In terms of height, these are the stats for my (highland) Urusana measured at the start of the year:
2019 8"
2020 14"
2021 25"
2022 40"
2023 60"

This is with almost zero care. Not trunking yet. In the ground.

I planted this highland form Sabal uresana in 2017 from seed collected from specimens at John Fairey Garden. First photo is in 2017, S. uresana back right. Second photo is in 2019. Third photo 2021. Fourth photo this morning.

Impressive growth! I bet that air conditioner drip line behind it helped a lot. Did you collect the seed?

Sorry to hijack 😎 but my 2-year old Uresana has similar coloration to picture number 2. Could my sabal **possibly** be a "highland" version?

I bought a two leaf seedling from Wade at Yuccado in 2016 when nursery was still open. He collected seed from John Fairey Garden.

Summerfield: I have both the highland and lowland forms of species and both look similar when smaller, yours could be either. The lowland form grows at least 1/3  faster than the highland form and is ultimately less glaucous but has a aqua blue-green leaf color that is also beautiful.

Photos are of the lowland form plants as small individual in 2020 as first photo and second photo from this past weekend of same individual

WOW...that is a fast grower. Time will tell I guess. Thanks for the info and images. They are a great reference for me.
