I woke up this morning to the sound of rain! This is the first July 18th in history that measureable rain has fallen in the Bay Area. Only a few hundreths of an inch but enough to clean and brighten my taller palms. Rain ended by late afternoon and skies are, again, clear, cloudless ones that we typically experience in July and most of the summer here.

We also got some scattered showers last week.  I was driving back from the east bay around midnight and ran into a pretty good downpour.  That was apparently from wayward tropical moisture that had gotten confused and moved northwest.

Had probably 0.01" at my house then.
