Found a couple of nice surprises after returning home from FL and the Caribbean.

Phoenix reclinata x roebelenii (http://palmtalk.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=13;t=3214)

DSC02105.JPG

Measured 15.8F a couple feet away.  Under thin blanket once the  temps dropped below 20F.  Only minimal visual damage until temps hit the 90F then the spears pulled.  Recovering nicely (except for the grasshopper damage).

Bismarkia nobilis (http://palmtalk.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=13;t=2996)

DSC02111.JPG

Measured 23.6F at the growth point (protected, 15.8F outside of protection).  Only minimal visual damage until temps hit the 90's, then all the foliage died.  Spear never pulled, but I was sure this was a gonner.  Pushing it's first palmate leaf (stunted) and a new spear.
